My favorite dish here is the pork intestines in a pot with pork blood. That dish is just delicious The clam soup with ginger is also worth getting Traditional, authentic Taiwanese joint. There are not many tables, but every time I come here, the establishment fills up pretty quickly

My mom's side of the family is from Tainan, and one of my favorite genres of eateries there are the ubiquitous spartan steam-table restaurants that extend onto the sidewalk and often are connected to the owners' houses upstairs. TiHu has come the closest to recreating that experience of any Taiwanese restaurant I've been to on the East Coast. To start, they offer as an "amuse-bouche" a small mu-er (wood ear) mushroom salad that was wonderfullly seasoned with a bit of onion. We opted for the $35 3-course meal, with bitter melon, fan che tsau dan (scrambled egg with tomato), and braised tofu. The braised tofu was fantastic - one of the best seasoned tofu dishes I've had in ages. The fan che tsau dan also had a perfect glutinous texture, and was well seasoned with scallion. Must try for Taiwanese food and worth the trek to the far reaches of Bayside!

Cozy spot offering Taiwanese style comfort dishes. Fast clean and friendly service, sat in and ordered the Taiwanese braised beef noodle soup and received it piping hot. The soup flavors were splendid and the noodle had the right bite to it and the beef deliciously tender! I also got a side of the cucumber salad which went very well as an appetizer. Will definitely be back to try other items, the pop corn chicken and rice dishes looked very good.

The food ordered was tasty and very appealing. There is a good variety of choices and can be almost customizable. The prices are reasonable for the amount of food you are given. Service was efficient and they were willing to work with me on the selections. Small but quality and quiet location.

Super good!! Service is great and the ambiance is so cozy I love it. Everyone here is so kind

Menu changed! Noodles are still good. Still 3 types of noodles you can pick from. Menu is much condense in a good way. Service is always friendly. Small but homey.

Very friendly owner, the Taiwanese braised pork over rice was good and salt and pepper chicken was good too! They ran out of that pretty quickly. Fried chicken cutlet is another alternative. Tea was good and not too sweet. Cold noodles are both skippable.

Our go to Taiwanese restaurant is closed on Sunday's "Ooodles", so we decided to try this new restaurant. The decor was pretty basic and it's a small place that can comfortably fit 10-15 people. Lady at front desk was nice and quickly got our order ready to go. Overall would try again to try some other dishes. I think we should of got free peanuts and pickled cabbage, but it wasn't offered for my takeout. A1. Salt Pepper Chicken 2/5. Not crispy enough and slightly oily. The meat was quality was fine. The pictures online looked better/crisper than the one we got for takeout today. A4. Braised Tofu appetizer. I would rate 4.5/5. It was warm and well seasoned. Price is affordable around $5-6 for the portion size. Sauces were provided to dripping. A7. Braised Beef Combo appetizer. 4.5/5 reminds us of homemade style beef from Taiwan. Good variety of beef cuts from the shank, tripe and tendon and the same sauces were provided for dipping. D9. Lao Tan Pickled cabbage fish. 4/5. The flavor was good and there was lots of broth. I think there should had been a few more pieces of fish in our take out container. Also the broth to fish/vegetable ratio could of been better. I think this would of tasted really good with the noodles and soup combo instead we ordered it with rice. C6. Taiwanese cold sesame noodle. "Liang main" 3.5/5. The noodles were almost perfect, but it was slightly lacking in QQ "chewiness". Could of used a bit more cucumber and carrot. Sauce was good. D18. Shredded pork with lettuce. 4.5/5. The sauce was very good. The meat could of been more skinny. Taste was on point. We had it with the rice noodles instead of white rice and the noodles were very QQ "chewy" which reminded us of the same noodles in Taiwan.
